Welcome to School 17, where learning is fun! We are excited about the new 2015 - 2016 school year. During the month of September, we will give assessment exams to all the students. The results of these exams will give all teachers an idea of the functioning level of each student in their class. The results will also enable them in better plan and prepare for the students in their class. Stay in touch to find out about the many new and exciting initiatives that will be taking place here throughout the school year.

            Off to school we go
Oh, it's off to school we go,
We'll take our lunch and ride the bus,
           With everyone we know.

To All Parents / Guardians  : A Letter from the Principal

Please remember that school starts at 8:35 AM. and ends at *3:15 PM. Too many parents
are repeatedly picking up their children much too early or much too late on a regular basis. I am concerned about the amount of instructional time your child is missing. Please try to re-arrange your schedule so that your child has the same opportunity to learn as much as all of the other students in the class.
*Please Note: ELT dismissal is at 4:00 P.M.

School Programs

Study Island’s programs are explicitly designed to help students master the content specified in state and Common Core standards. Study Island provides rigorous content for math and ELA in grades K-12, PARCC- and SBAC-aligned item types, extensive Common Core transition support, Common Core diagnostic pretests, and benchmark tests built specifically from the CCSS

After-School and Summer Program at School 17 offer a fun, safe, enriching and well-supervised environment for children of various ages. We recognize the uniqueness and importance of each child, and strive to create experiences wherein children can learn to make good choices, discover new pastimes, and explore new ideas in an environment which is safe, supportive, and creative!
